With nearly 30 years of academic and professional award winning product design and brand strategy experience, I appreciate the importance of an innovation based design education. It goes beyond mere technical skills, extending into a profound understanding of consumer behavior and needs.

PHILOSOPHY

My teaching ethos focuses on teaching students to learn the essential skills that drive innovation: understanding consumer insights through discovery-based research, mastering traditional design methods from initial hand sketches to physical and virtual prototypes, and harnessing the latest digital design tools- to help students land the role of their dreams.

With this holistic approach, students learn to create products that have a clear sense of purpose and that ultimately build VALUE, whether it's through quantitative business success or a qualitative connection to the end consumer. Empowered by this knowledge, students create products that not only meet peoples needs but also enriches lives, embodying the transformative potential of design.
